What makes Antelope Island so special?

Nestled in the Great Salt Lake, Antelope Island State Park is a haven of natural beauty and wildlife that offers you an unforgettable experience!

What makes Antelope Island so special is its remarkable biodiversity. The island is home to one of the largest free-roaming herds of American bison in the country, alongside pronghorn antelope, bighorn sheep, and a variety of bird species. As you hike the island’s scenic trails, you might even catch a glimpse of these magnificent creatures.

Beyond the wildlife, you will have a beautiful time immersing yourself in nature. Whether you’re exploring the historic Fielding Garr Ranch, kayaking along the shoreline, or taking in the spectacular sunsets, Antelope Island provides a great opportunity to connect with the natural beauty of Utah.

If you’re seeking tranquility, adventure, or a glimpse of the West's untamed spirit, Antelope Island is a destination like no other!

How much does it cost & which permit do I need?

To access Antelope Island State Park, there’s a per-vehicle entrance fee of $15, which covers up to eight people. If you’re biking or walking in, it’s just $5 per person.

The good news is: you don’t need any special permits for day-use activities like hiking, wildlife viewing, or photography!
