Our trip to Colorado’s scenic escape
We immediately fell in love with Telluride, the moment we entered. Surrounded by moutains, and scenic waterfalls, this cozy town is the Disneyland for hikers, and adventurers!
After your hikes, you can immerse yourself in cozy cafés, restaurants, or grab some souvenirs in one of the plenty shops.
Our day trip to Telluride
First day - the evening:
Comming from our previous trip to the Black Canyon National Park, we arrived in the late afternoon. Our hotel was in the center of Telluride. This was really enjoyable, since we were close to the shops, and restaurants. There was no need to take the car, which we really aprpeciated. We used our first evening to stroll through the local shops, and the cute neighborhood.
After exploring the town, we ended our walk at a cozy restaurant, fueling up for the next day. It was such a calm, and peaceful atmosphere.
Second day:
Our morning began early. We fueled up with breakfast at a local café called The Butcher &The Baker. It was so good, that we had to return after our hike! Afterwards, we packed our things and checked-out of the hotel.
We drove to the parking lot to start our hike to the Bridal Veil Falls. This 2 mile hike to the falls lead us through a woody, and rocky terrain. We passed bursting water falls, which was so fun! When we arrived at the Bidal Veil Falls, we decided to continue our hike to the Ingram Falls. It was a steep incline, and we were lucky to be the only ones on the trail. The views onto the valley were incredible! It was such a beautiful morning, and the final destination took our breath away! The Ingram Falls were so strong and reminded us of the falls in Iceland. As the sun was shining strongly, there was a rainbow shining through the falls!
If you’re visiting Telluride, we can definitely recommend this hike! It was a very special experience with so many beautiful memories!
